John T. Kontrabecki
Chief Executive Officer

John T. Kontrabecki is president and chief executive officer of TKG International. As CEO of a firm managing a multi-million dollar international real estate portfolio, he is responsible for land acquisition, financing, development and management of commercial real estate properties in the United States and Europe.

Kontrabecki began his career as a real estate attorney with Lord, Bissell and Brook in Chicago, Illinois. Before establishing his own company, he held executive positions with Wells Fargo Bank, Richard Ellis, Inc., and Mission West Properties (f/k/a Berg & Berg Developers), firms with extensive domestic and international real estate expertise.

With his expertise in global real estate investment and development, Kontrabecki spearheaded the company's expansion into Central Europe. Industrial development in Central Europe now complements development in the United States as the primary focus in the company's growth strategy. In Europe, growth has been achieved through speculative, build-to-suit and joint venture developments with multi-national firms seeking to expand their operations within the former communist block countries. In the United States, the firm has been pursuing a large-scale office park development in Livermore, California. The company has also expanded into vineyard and winery development as a new line of business and has successfully developed a 137 acre premium wine grape vineyard in the Livermore Valley.

Kontrabecki holds a Juris Doctorate, an MBA, and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He is a member of the California and Illinois State and Federal Bars; American, California and Illinois State Bar Associations; Urban Land Institute; National Association of Industrial and Office Parks; and the Advisory Board for Cornell University's Graduate Program in Real Estate.

Sips & Bites on the Bay

Sips & Bites on the Bay meets with resounding success!

"San Francisco from bay to buildings was a study in gray Sunday morning when the USS Potomac docked at Pier E, next to the San Francisco Ferry Building... an elegant brunch on the bay catered by the Left Bank and with wines from California wineries such as Buena Vista, Wild Horse and Wattle Creek..."
